USES AND SIDE-EFFECTS
Keflex can be given to adults and children aged over 3 years. The duration of the treatment is short. The pills should be taken for 6 hours.
The standard dose for patients over 12 years of age is 1 Keflex pill of 250mg, four times a day.
Severe diseases: 500mg, 4 times a day.
Children between the age of 3-12 years of age have been prescribed the medicine as per their body and its weight: 25-50mg per 1 kg of body weight. The daily dose should be taken 4 times a day with a duration of 6 hours a day.
The treatment should not be continued for more than 7 days.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
The use of the drug for pregnant and lactating women should be in the case of extreme conditions only.
Patients having intensive dysfunction of kidneys should take the drug with proper care only.
There can be contraindications for patients having allergies to penicillin agents.
